Edoardo Agresti

Travel, Wedding | Last Updated: March 28, 2024

I was born in Florence and inherited my passion for traveling and photography from my father to such an extent that it has become my profession. I’ve been lucky enough to have traveled since the age of nine, which has helped me develop a particular sensitivity, and tune my heart & mind, so that I can capture reality in all its beauty, depth and intimacy.

Meeting many photographers, from fashion to news reporting, from wedding photography to special events, and contact with several professional portrait studios has given me a versatile experience in the various fields of image representation. My final choice has been directed towards the reportage style. “Touching” people with my camera gives me such a depth of emotions.

After having had the opportunity of spending some time with the Magnum photographers, Steve McCurry and, recently, Paolo Pellegrin, this has given me the opportunity to sharpen up certain aspects of photography linked to light and “cutting” during filming. This has undoubtedly added an important personal growth.

In 1997, Studio Crea was born thanks to the partnership with important colleagues. Studio Crea has become an international point of reference for travel and wedding photojournalistic style photography.

I’m a Partner of the Nikon Professional Service and one of the organizers and teachers of Nikon School Travel. Master of “Sposiamo il digitale” in Riccione; scene photographer of musical “Aspire the Musical” in Doha with music by David Krane (Oscar award winner for the music of Chicago); some of my shots in occasion of Kumbh Mela were sent to National Geographic; member of Wedding Photo Journalistic Association, Artistic Guild of Wedding Photo Journalistic Association, International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers and founder of Best Wedding Photographers. International award winner for wedding and travel photography. My photos have been published in several international magazines and travel guides. Member of FEP: Federation of European Photographer. Member of MPA: Master Photographer Association. Lexar Elite Photographer and testimonial of LoewePro Photographic Bags

My camera gear is composed of a selection of lenses from 17mm up to 200mm. I prefer for my way of shooting the zoom and especially the wide angle zoom Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8. If someone told me to bring just one lens I’d get that one! I have also Nikon 50mm f/1.4 and Nikon 24mm f/1.4 and I’ve tried to use them but I don’t feel good with them.

I rarely mount the Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8. More often when I travel or do weddings I use my two cameras, hung to my body with a BlackRapid double strap, with the Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8 and Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8. I have also an infrared camera (see IR tips) with Nikon 12-24mm f/4 on it. Just for weddings and just during the party I use flash and/or an led lamp.
