My first camera was a Canon 500D with the classic Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS and the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.5-5.6 IS I purchased at the end of 2009. My first passion was photographing animals, birds, and then the telephoto macro. Then I fell in love with the landscapes and especially the night photography of the landscape. So I bought a Tokina 11-16mm f/2,8 AT-X Pro DX, and it was perfect for my type of photography. The landscapes were much better, and and the nightshots became my passion. With this kit, I took many panoramics. I have also an old Canon EF 35-70mm f/3,5-4,5.
Then I won a Sony a7 mirrorless full frame camera, so I went to full frame, and I took a Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED UMC Aspherical for Canon for my nightscapes, so I use also two Canon to Sony adapters, viltrox adapter. I have also the Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS from the Sony a7 kit. The Sony a7 is much better about night photography, low noise and high dynamic range.
I have some lens filters for my landscapes, an Haida ND1.8 filter, Haida ND1000 filter, and a Circular polarizer, in addition I have a GND 0.9 soft Lee filter.
In the bag I usually carry a led headlamp, batteries, memory cards, 2 cameras, 2 lens, filters, and my selfmade panoramic head to take shots with the camera in vertical or horizontal versions.
I use a Benro A0690T Travel tripod and a Giottos YTL PRO carbon fiber tripod. For portraits or weddings, I use 2 flashes, a Yongnuo YN-560 II and Yongnuo YN-565 II. I will follow the Sony FE-Mount lens releases and replace all my Canon lenses with mirrorless specific lenses.
