My name is Mohammad Reza Domiri Ganji. I am 25 years old. I live in northern Iran and study physics.
I have been taking photos for about 6 years. I use wide angle lenses and sometimes panoramic technique so I can show all the details in one photo.
My main interests are historical temples and old architectures and as well as night photography of ancient sites. So I travel around and already have a collection of traditional baths, historical mosques, old houses, ancient sites, historical churches and other monuments.
I believe any historical site or architecture has some special elements. I need to find that distinguished point and then deliver its beauties to my audience through photography.
Taking photos of historical sites is not very easy. Sometimes you will need special permissions for using tripod, being in right place of that building or photographing at night. The other thing is that many of historical places are usually crowded or may need to be there in special season or time of the year to do your best. I mean you should be there in the right time.
About my gear:
Canon EOS 7D
: It is fast. Its fast shooting is making photo bracketing faster, so nothing will move during the shooting. Also, I am satisfied with the contrast and colors it gives to me during my interior photography.
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8
mk2: The chromatic aberration of this lens is too much but it is very sharp and will give you a good wide vision on the crop sensors. I use it for both night photography and my ceiling interior shots.
Sigma 8mm f/3.5 fisheye
: This was my main lens for 3 years and I took many of my panoramic photos using this lens. It has amazing sharpness and I found it best for 360 panoramic photos on crop sensors. You can’t see it on the image because I sold it last year.
Nikon D810
: I have selected this module because of its high dynamic range and also the 36mp of image size. When I capture my images using this camera I can print it in large scales.
Nikkor 16mm f/2.8 fisheye
: It is not heavy, very sharp and with f/2.8 it will be the best for low light and night photography. Sometimes I take photos of ceiling pointing my camera directly to the ceiling using this lens and then I remove the fisheye distortion using Adobe Lightroom.
Nikkor 50mm f/1.4
: I use it for night shots when I stitch images together if I want more image size. Also it is good for everyday use or taking portraits.
Manfrotto 055 Carbon tripod
: It is firm and light. I can bring it with me everywhere.
Triopo: It was my first tripod, made of aluminum (I don’t know its model, just it is written that its name is Triopo, I bought it from Turkey).
Nodal Ninja 3
: I use it for my panoramic photography, it is very easy to use and also light.
Joby Ball Head
: It is a ball head for Joby Gorillapod, but I just use its head.
Promote control
: I use it for taking HDR images and time-lapse movies.
Lightroom: I use Lightroom to edit my photos.
iPhone 6s
64gb: I take photos using my iPhone also I use it to remotely control my cameras.
