Boudoir & Glamour | Last Updated: February 18, 2021

Hello! I’m Natalia, a boudoir and portrait photographer living in Melbourne, Australia.

I started my photography journey taking photos of pretty brunch and café food. Long story short, I got bored of photographing inanimate objects and I decided to change it up a little by taking photos of humans, using my humble Fujifilm X-M1.

I then upgraded to the Fujifilm X-T20 after a while and safe to say that I was hooked on the size of the camera and the rich tones of the Fuji colour profiles. I am currently using the Fujifilm X-T3 and the Fujifilm X-H1, I love them both and I even named them—Jericho and Atlas.

I love to create intimate moments of people—with others and with their own selves. Taking photos of couples in love, of amazing people, of parties, and of solemn events give me so much joy.

It was not until a photoshoot I did with a friend when I had the “aha!” moment of wanting to focus on intimate portraiture and boudoir (see posing guide).

I want to capture the beauty and virtues of women—their femininity, their strengths, their dignities, and what they are capable of—in the most empowering and beautiful art form.

I’m also a believer that as a photographer, I have the power and responsibility of documenting one’s legacy and story for generations to come.

Cameras

Main body: Fujifilm X-T3 with JB wooden grip

Second body: Fujifilm X-H1 with battery grip

Lenses

Fuji 56mm f/1.2: My FAVORITE lens, hands down. It produces photos that are very soft and dream-like.

Fuji 16-55mm f/2.8: This lens never leaves the camera body when it comes to shooting events and weddings. This is also the only camera lens that I bring for my international trips or holidays. I prefer to travel light and this lens covers most of the focal range that I usually shoot with when it comes to street/food/landscape.

Fuji 23mm f/1.4:  The everyday lens. I bring this out when I’m going on road trips, family gatherings, or other life events. An all-rounder for documenting moments in my personal life.

Lights/Triggers

Godox V1-F: Pretty much all I need when shooting events and weddings.

Godox X1T-F

Bags/Straps

I use the Kamrette Lyra backpack in tan (this girl loves all things mustard and tan). It is amazing for weddings and portrait sessions. I consider myself a minimalist when it comes to lugging my gear around so the Kamrette backpack suits my needs perfectly.

Hardware & Software

SanDisk SD cards. They’re amazing and have not failed me. Ever.

I mainly use Adobe Lightroom CC to edit the photos and occasionally Adobe Photoshop 2020 when there are bits and bobs here and there that need to be removed.

Misc.

Snacks! I pack anything from energy bars, chocolates, pretzels, nuts, etc.

Umbrella: You never know with Melbourne’s temperamental weather.

Prisms: Sometimes I whip one of these bad boys out for cool photography effects.

Water bottle: Gotta stay hydrated all the time.
