ON1 Announces New Photo RAW 2023.1 Updates

Photo editing software leader ON1 has announced the release of its new ON1 Photo RAW 2023.1 updates for mid-February release.

The highly-anticipated software overhaul delivers a whole host of new features, performance enhancements and general improvements to ON1’s existing Photo RAW 2023 software suite

These are squarely aimed at making a photographer’s photo editing experience with ON1 much easier and more fluid.

Among these improvements is the non-destructive Healing Brush, which will now come with a bunch of updates and enhancements to its functionality. These will give it new transform, copy and move modes that let users really ramp up their editing experiences.

With the Healing Brush updates, users can now scale, rotate, flip, and manage brush strokes with much greater precision. The updated brush’s copy mode also lets users copy objects inside a photo while the move mode lets a user move copied objects around extremely easily.

Photo RAW’s crop tool has also been enhanced to come with a range of new overlay options that include:

• Rule of Thirds
• Grid
• Diagonal
• Triangles
• Golden Ratio
• Golden Spiral

All of these together effectively and precisely let photographers recompose their photos quickly, without fuss or complication during post-shoot editing. ON1 has included an additional function that lets photographers hide crop overlay.

ON1 has also enhanced its Sky Swap AI feature so that it now features two different AI models.

One of these lets a photographer more easily conduct swaps around buildings and other skyline structures or where the sky and foreground are similarly colored.

Sky Swap AI also features a newly improved AI interface that makes it much easier to use AI Inference.

With this, users can work with NoNoise AI and Resize AI much more quickly. Interface font sizes are also adjustable now so that the whole application is much more user-friendly on mobile and small screens.

ON1 Photo RAW 2023.1 includes support for Canon’s EOS R6 Mark II and Panasonic’s Lumix DC-S511 cameras. It will also feature new lens profiles in general. Other updates include several bug fixes and overall performance enhancements.

These above updates in version 2023.1 come on top of other recent updates added to Version 2023 last October. These included:
