Hey! I’m Sergey Lapkovsky, a destination wedding photographer. I love to travel and photograph weddings all over the world as I get my inspiration by discovering new locations and meeting interesting people.
I’ve been photographing weddings for 10 years. I used to shoot Canon, but six months ago I switched to Sony and found that it’s great for my needs (I still have Canon as a back-up camera).
Since every wedding is unique, I like to be prepared for everything and my gear helps me to shoot in different conditions.
Besides weddings, I enjoy shooting engagements and family sessions. I become good friends with many of my clients and I like to see how their families grow by documenting these timeless moments.
Cameras:
Sony a7 III
– My primary camera. I love it so much, especially for great AF.
Canon 5D Mark IV
– My back-up camera.
Lenses:
Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8
– A great lens that I use in most cases. It’s very universal.
Sony Zeiss 35mm f/1.4
– I love to use this lens for artistic portraits and shooting in low light conditions.
Sony 85mm f/1.8
– An excellent lens for portrait photos.
Canon EF 135mm f/2
– I use it on Sony a7 III
with Sigma MC-11
adaptor mostly for big weddings and ceremonies.
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8
– A lens that I use with Canon 5D Mark IV
as a back-up.
Lights/Triggers/Stands:
Godox TT685
– On-camera TTL flash.
Godox TT600
(x4) – Budget flashes that I use on lighting stands.
LED Flashlight
– Great in situations when I have no time to set up flashes or just want to work with constant light.
Small lighting stand (x2) – Very compact and great for destination weddings (max height is 2.2m).
Big Lighting stand (x4) – For local weddings (max height is 3m).
