My passion for people led me to photography. It became a bridge to meet people and their stories, and a way to share with the world their inner beauty. To tell someone’s story is a type of tribute, a recognition, a special way to honor their unique path; and that is something which truly inspires and captivates me.

As a photographer, I enjoy the challenge of always being in search of that “extra something.” The learning process involved in photography is a never ending one. Every day comes as an opportunity to broaden my perspective, to see beyond what is obvious, to sense the nuances and subtleties of life.

My career is mostly oriented to capturing the universe of weddings, probably because I truly believe in marriage and because I have the most beautiful family ever. I’m very happy and fulfilled with my wife and that is perhaps my most inspiring source to do my best when I leave home to photograph.

During weddings I usually work with two Nikon D3s cameras. One with Sigma 24-35mm f/2.0 Art lens, and the other with Nikon 85mm f/1.4. I used to work with a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art lens up until the end of 2016; but I felt it did not work very well when I needed to get more open frames, especially in small places. The Sigma 24-35mm f/2.0 was the solution for that problem.

I usually work with Yongnuo 300 and 600 LEDS for portraits and Nikon SB-900 flash to shoot moments. I occasionally use the Lowell GL-1 to do backlight in engagement sessions (see ideas) or portrait sessions at weddings or the SB-900 flash together with the MagMod basic kit.

While photographing engagement sessions, I use two Nikon D700 cameras with a Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art lens and a Nikon 105mm f/2.8.

During weddings, my team uses Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art, Nikon 50mm f/1.4, Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 and Nikon 105mm f/2.8 lenses.
