We’re Amii & Andy from Sunshine & Reign Photography. We’re portrait and wedding photographers, currently relocating to the Central Coast of California and planning to surf a heck of a lot at Pismo Beach (if you’re in the neighbourhood).
We photograph about 8-10 weddings per year and photograph family portraits weekly.
What else? We write features for SLR Lounge, host monthly webinars for Fundy Designer, and are brand ambassadors/pro team members for: Tenba, Tether Tools, and Zeus Beard. It’s a ton of fun for sure!
Our 5 kids are our favourite, we love adventuring with them (and that’s definitely one of the reasons we’re moving from the desert of Arizona to the coast of California).
Photography-wise? Our style is to spend a load of time getting to know our clients (and their family and friends), with the intent of photographing who and what is most important to them so that they can have some serious legit wall art in their homes. We like to say we’re ‘America’s Most Rad Photographic Experience’.
We like using prisms, lens flare, and capturing moments that mean everything to our clients. In-camera double exposures are our favourite. We’ve been rocking our Nikon D750
s since 2014, with no plans to use anything else.
Other than that? Well, we actually have a long gear list (we like to be thorough), but you can trust us that it all fits nice and neat inside our two Tenba Roadie Air Case Roller 21
bags … With the exception of our trusty Westcott Rapid 26” Octa Softbox
(easily our fave and most used modifier), which we attach to our just-as-trusty Impact QuickStik+ Telescopic Handle
