Antonella Addorisio

Fine Art | Last Updated: December 28, 2022

My name is Antonella Addorisio and I was born and raised in Italy but currently live in Australia. I’ve always been fascinated by cameras and the images they produce.

I started taking pictures when I was at University and I immediately felt a connection between myself and the way in which I see the world. I graduated in Set Design in Turin in 2015 and after my graduation I moved to Australia. I love travelling because it taught me to feel free and to live day by day.

The camera I use is the Nikon D7200. This camera is one of the best enthusiast’s DSLRs out there, and a great choice if you’re looking to upgrade from an entry-level model. It’s packed with features and has a cracking sensor, and it also offers solid performance and an excellent AF system.

I also have an old Zeiss Ikon Camera.

And then there are the lenses…

Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8 – This lens has served me well and I love the versatility. The broad focal range paired with the wide aperture enables me to photograph many scenarios.

The Nikon 35mm f/1.8 – In a word: fantastic. It is incredibly sharp, the bokeh is smooth and it creates incredibly dreamy images that, thanks to the wider angle, make the viewer really dive into the image.

Nikon 50mm f/1.8 – I can use this lens anywhere, except up real close for portraits. I love walking around the city with this lens and just taking shots of everything going on.

I do all my editing on a MacBook Pro with Wacom Intuos and ColorMunki Smile.

I keep a backup of all my edited photos on TOSHIBA Canvio Basics 1 TB.

I have two camera bags, the smaller Case Logic DCB-306 for my camera and the AmazonBasics for long trips where I take almost all my equipment (it has a special slit for the MacBook).

I have a flash, the Nissin Di866 Mark II, that I only use when I do events or weddings.

Sometimes I need my Neewer Light Reflector 110 cm and my Slik F153 tripod (it is light and easy to handle).
