If you have experience in real estate photography, you’re probably familiar with the concept of “window pulling.” For those who don’t know, it’s an editing technique used to effectively clarify and enhance the views out of the windows in your images.

In so many property pictures, windows look blown out or overexposed, making it difficult to see what’s beyond their frames. Window pulling fixes that, ensuring that both interiors and exteriors look harmonious and equally clear in your property pictures.

Here’s how it works. I had this picture of a living room where the windows were just a little too bright, so uploaded it to the Autoenhance platform in the hope of fixing it.

It took a couple of minutes after I pressed “Upload image” for the photo to be processed, but the results speak for themselves:

Here’s a closer look at how this works, using this example image of a beautiful property. The house is impressive, but isn’t quite fulfilling its potential in this image, since the picture was taken on quite a cloudy day.

Again, I just have to upload my image into the Autoenhance web app and let the AI automatically make whatever adjustments it feels necessary.

Once that’s done, I can use the buttons and filters provided to make my own changes, if needed.

However, in this case, I didn’t even need to make any changes.

Autoenhance’s AI realized that the sky needed fixing and made these pleasant changes, clearing out those light gray clouds and replacing them with a bright blue sky.

The end result is a much cheerier image that helps to cast this property in a more engaging, appealing light, quite literally.

What I love about this tool is its accuracy. Some AI sky changers sometimes make mistakes, removing or obscuring important elements of the picture. Autoenhance’s Sky Replacement feature, however, can accurately identify the parts of the images you want to change, and leave the rest intact.

Image Relighting

It’s no secret that lighting is extremely important when it comes to real estate photography. That’s where professional photographers often work with layered studio light systems that they can easily adjust and reposition to illuminate their scenes and subjects, exactly as they want to.

But in random houses, apartments, and other homes, it’s not always possible to get the lighting you want. In fact, since every property has its own distinct layout and positioning, you never know exactly what type of lighting you’ll find inside.

Here, for example, I had a picture of a beautifully designed kitchen, but the lighting felt a little “off.” Even though it was a sunny day, with plenty of natural light streaming through the windows, parts of the picture seemed unnecessarily dark.
