Inside My Camera Bag | Cécilia Durant

Hey, my name is Cécilia Durant, and I am a photographer living in Paris. I have been passionate about my photography for more than ten years. I started with a compact camera and then moved to a Nikon SLR.

That’s when I became really excited about discovering the endless possibilities of photography and the technicalities that go with it.

I have travelled in the USA, Canada, some European cities, the Sahara desert, Indonesia, the Caribbean and many more. As you can see, I’m always looking for new things and places, discovering new environments and new lifestyles.

I like to transcribe my vision of the elements through the photo, and my first intention is to create a visual emotion.

My photographic equipment fits quite nicely into my Sandqvist backpack.

Fujifilm X-T2 – I never go anywhere without this camera. I went from a Nikon SLR to a Fuji four years ago, and ever since I have been fascinated with the quality and versatility of this camera.

Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f/4 R OIS WR – this ultra-wide-angle zoom is perfect for landscapes and its weight at just under four hundred grams is a considerable asset.

Fujifilm XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R OIS WR – this telephoto lens always finds its place in my camera bag; it is particularly effective in low light and for sports photography. When coupled with an XF 1.4X TC WR multiplier, it offers some extraordinary prospects.

Nisi ND 1000 circular filter – particularly effective during long breaks, and luckily it adapts to my two favourite lenses!

I use a Peak Design Cuff strap for the street and a Peak Design Slide strap for longer outings. They come with a certain robustness, quality and superior design.

Vanguard VEO 2 – this tripod is very impressive because of its light weight and efficiency in all situations.

I systematically use Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop for my editing or, as I say, the development of my images. I like to work to take time on my photographic shoot searching for perfection.
