D2 Photography

Wedding | Last Updated: February 2, 2021

We are Damiano Salvadori and Donatella Barbera, husband and wife. We are both professional photographers and our studio, D2 Photography is based in Certaldo, Italy.

We love photographing weddings throughout Italy but we also we enjoy discovering new places, people and cultures by photographing weddings around the world.

In the last few years we have photographed many different kinds of traditions, customs, and religious ceremonies. We have also photographed same-sex couple weddings.

We love to work together, and we are always excited to photograph the emotions expressed in each moment the wedding day.

Our equipment

Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L: We use mainly for creative shots.
Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L: We love the bokeh of this lens. We use it especially for portraits and during the ceremonies.
Canon EF 135mm f/2L: Excellent lens for both the ceremony and the couple photos.
Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L: We like to have a wide angle in our backpack.
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II: Great lens for general use that we always keep in our backpack just in case we need it.
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM: Perfect for the details.
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L III: An incredible lens that is able to remove the subject from the background in an exceptional way. Great for photos of couples.

Canon Trigger ST-E3-RT (x2)
Canon Compact Battery Pack CP-E4N

We work with two cameras each, and among all the lenses we have, we shoot almost all of the weddings with 35mm. We use the 35mm because it allows us to photograph a wedding in a documentary style that creates a story.

We usually shoot with natural light, however for creative photographs and evening parties we may use flash.
