My name is Edin Chavez and I am a commercial photographer specializing in Architecture. I am based out of Miami Beach and I am a total beach bum. I travel all over the world and I am obsessed with taking photos. If I’m not out shooting I am thinking about it. I do lots of client work but my favorite thing to do is personal work. Just about every cent I make from my paid shoots (after paying bills and eating) go towards my personal work. This truly is my life.
In my bag, you will find a Nikon D800E, a Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, a Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 lens and a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. I also rock a Really Right Stuff mini tripod, which is fantastic, a Nikon SB-600 Speed light, and a Nikon MC36A remote.
I keep my memory cards in a Think Tank Pocket Rocket full of 32gb cards. My favorite thing in the bag is my Pentax K100 and Kodak 400 TX film. People think I’m crazy when I pull this out, but I love it. It’s like Xmas every time I get rolls developed!
This is my travel bag, but when I have a big commercial shoot the bag gets a little bigger as I add some studio lights and modifiers, a Macbook Pro and some other random stuff. I shoot mainly Hensel lights.
My favorite go to lens is the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8. You will rarely see this off my camera. Even when I shoot street photography, I’m about 2 feet from my subject. I love it!
