Hey! My name is Ian Hollis and I am a 20-year-old aspiring photographer from Sydney, Australia!
After always enjoying taking photos with my phone I finally picked up my first DSLR camera (Canon 77D) just over a year ago in May 2018 and I haven’t looked back since!
I love to explore the natural wonders of our world in the aim of finding and capturing unique compositions.
I spend most of my time on the South Coast of New South Wales in Australia, photographing the movement of the ocean and its relationship with light!
I also love to head away from the ocean and capture stunning yet powerful waterfalls!
Sony A7III – Absolute beauty of a camera! Amazing value for money, with some great features for Landscape and Portrait Photography as well as film.
Sony FE 16-35mm f/4 – Perfect for wide open landscape shots and also for capturing an effective foreground element.
Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 – Excellent for my wave shots where I can stand on the beach and zoom in nice and close on all the action. Also great for some portrait photography!
Tenba Axis 32L – Amazing bag that is easily customisable and fits all my camera gear plus extras including laptop, jackets and a first aid kit!
Pro Master XC 525
I use Lightroom and Photoshop for the editing of my shots! No presets. I like to give each shot its own edit.
The best practice is to just get out there and shoot as much as possible! So… you know what to do! Happy shooting!
