I have been taking photos since I was a small child, and over my career, I have dealt with many types of photography, including advertising, fashion, and product. Now I focus on street photography.
I photograph absurdities, interesting scenes, and the world caught in an unusual moment. Street photos are not posed ones and, therefore, authentic.
I limit my equipment to the bare minimum. Most things remain at home. I only wear what I need and what provides me comfort and convenience.
This gives me the pleasure of taking photos in the city space, light and minimalist.
I try to be visually transparent and very close to what I am photographing; I almost participate in the event but remain invisible to its participants.
When I take photos during journeys, I try to keep my appearance modest. I don’t have any objects that might catch any attention: a watch, jewellery, colourful or expensive clothing, intense perfumes.
Even my camera and lens are sealed with black tape, so it looks worn out.
Canon EOS R6 – this camera is very fast, light, even cheap looking and inconspicuous. It has all the features of being a great piece of street photography equipment. I mostly use my program mode at 1/250s, f.8, and auto ISO. I modify these settings depending on the situation.
Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 IS Macro STM – I mainly use this lens as I love the 35mm focal length. I know how to stand in the right place and put the camera to the eye in a fraction of a second and take a perfectly framed photo.
This focal length is perfect for me when creating multi-plane compositions.
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM
Canon Adapter Control Ring M-ADAP EF-EOS R – adds a function for fast, intuitive shooting.
