Hi, I’m Julia Nimke and I’m a Travel and Lifestyle photographer living in Berlin, Germany.
I’m on the road most of the time with my converted Sprinter van. Camping wild allows me to be right in nature when the light is the most dramatic or when the stars pop up in the sky.
I like to surround myself with minimal things and maximum nature. That’s when I’m the most happy.
My kit is mainly for shooting landscapes and portraits. To tell a story from different angles and perspectives I find it important to have a range from 20mm up to 400mm.
My telephoto lens is probably my favorite one when it comes to shooting landscapes. I just love how it condenses the background and gives a perfect idea of the scale of a place.
I’ve shot Canon ever since I had my first camera at the age of 11. I carry my stuff in the Peak Design Travel Backpack, with which I can go on a hike, check in as hand luggage when traveling to other places, or simply use it in daily life when I go by bike from one commissioned job to another in the city.
