My name is Keaton Webb and I’m a portrait and lifestyle photographer based in Orlando, Florida. From a young age I always desired a creative outlet and was introduced to photography early on in my teen years.
My style has evolved from what it once was, mainly into portraiture professionally and lifestyle/travel imagery personally.
Photography has always been a way for me to capture a moment how I personally experienced it. While I have a love for conceptual imagery and manufactured moments, there’s something about documenting my memories as they were which feels therapeutic, almost like a diary that I can revisit again and again.
Gear:
I upgraded to this a few years ago from a Nikon D5000, when I was really discouraged that my images weren’t living up to the reality of a moment.
This lens is the only one I use right now, and it’s done me a lot of good having to move around my subject to get the shot I want. There’s something freeing in having simple gear, and a limited lens to work with.
Polaroid OneStep
I began shooting on this a few years ago as well, while it’s not a true film camera, I enjoy the duality of having film imagery and seeing the result in real time (or after 15 minutes of waiting for the colors to set).
Apple MacBook Pro
While not the beefiest thing to work on, it keeps up with my impatient workflow and handles Lightroom and Photoshop
like a champ.
I always recommend the camera on the iPhone for beginner photographers, especially if they’re just looking to improve their social media imagery. Before I purchased my Canon 5D Mark III, I shot exclusively on my iPhone 4S (I know) for Instagram. If you have it, make it work.
