Hi! I’m Lex Alinsod, a wedding photographer from the Philippines. I can say that photography is really close to my heart because I was born to a family of photographers. Growing up, I was exposed early to the world of wedding photography since it was the livelihood of my father and his seven siblings.
I entered the world of shooting weddings as a videographer. It was 2011 when I shot my first wedding. I knew from then on that shooting weddings were the thing I want to do for good. Eventually, after a couple of years, I started my own brand, this time as a photographer.
In terms of style, I tend to demonstrate a quirky and odd way of photography while engaging in genuine encounters. A lot of time and hard work took to develop the style I have at present. Without so much direction and orchestrating moments, I aspire to capture peculiarly as my way of storytelling.
The blending of colors to every photograph is unforeseen to many. I prefer my photographs to be naturally and smoothly defined in terms of the mood and theme. Focusing not just any story but a celebration of love. As a wedding photographer, I aim to portray authentic love and life in my photography making every image a memory that is true to the story of love.
Camera
Sony A7 III – I really like using this camera because of its fast AF tracking and eye focus. Really perfect for fast moments during weddings.
Lenses
Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art – This lens is my go to lens, so much so that if I only have to bring one lens this will be a no brainer. For me, this lens is the best lens for storytelling.
Sony FE 85mm f/1.8 – I use this lens for capturing candid shots. I love how fast and sharp this lens is.
Petzval 55mm f/1.7 MK II – This is what I use if I want to have playful and artsy photos because of its bokeh control feature.
Misc.
6-Point Star Filter – So I can make light streaks for my night photos.
Apple MacBook Pro 15” – For editing my photos.
