I am Louis Fraga, a photographer based in Barcelona, Spain. I’ve been shooting since I was 12 years old, and have been shooting film for years.
I entered into this world after my father loaned me his old Zenit camera and I started taking photos around my neighbourhood.
Canon 5D Mark III – I love it because it’s fast and powerful. It’s handy to shoot with a camera like that.
Film Cameras that I don’t actually use.
Canon 85mm f/1.2 – I love this lens for portraits, mostly. Also love the special background it produces.
Canon 35mm f/1.4 – This is the most used lens for me. It is on my camera all the time. It works perfectly for almost every kind of photo.
Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 – This is perfect for wide angle pictures. I use it especially for landscapes or lifestyle.
TRIOPO TR-586 EXC FLASH – I use this in harsh light or at night. I don’t use it too much but it’s handy sometimes.
Canon strap – I love it because it is strong. I had a cool one before but it broke in a shoot and the camera almost fell down on the rocks.
Hardware & Software
Mackbook Pro or iMac with Lightroom.
I use my own presets.
I always forget everything. No water, no food. Just my gear.
For everyone, I can say that the camera is not the most important thing. I love taking photos with my phone, too. People should train the eye instead of buying expensive stuff – and shoot what you want to shoot! Try different things/settings: this is the key for me.
