Photojournalism | Last Updated: February 9, 2021

I am Ole Spata a documentary photographer based in Hannover, Germany.
After my education as a photojournalist at the dpa (German Press Agency) in Berlin, I studied photojournalism and documentary photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
I divide my time between client work (magazines, newspapers and companies) and personal projects. Therefore I work in various countries all over the world.
One of my projects that you can see here is the increasing mass tourism worldwide.
I use a variety of different equipment for my jobs. My studio is full of tripods, flashes, colour filters, different backgrounds, GoPros and a DJI Drone.
But the most important aspect for me is to be movable with my gear. That’s why I am using Fujifilm.
Everything that does not fit in one bag stays at home.
In 90% of my work I go with this setting:
Billingham Hadley Pro Camerabag
Fujifilm XT-3 with the Vertical Battery Grip VG-XT3
Fujifilm XT-2 – Review here
Fujifilm XF 16mm F1.4
Fujifilm XF 18mm F2.0

MacBook pro 2018
iPad mini 2019
