The Ferros

Ciao! We are Nico and Vinx, partners in work and in life. We’re destination wedding photographers. After working in the advertising world for more than ten years as an Art Director (Vinx) and a copywriter (Nico), we decided to listen to our hearts by doing exactly what we’ve always loved, photography.

Even though the basis of ADV is aesthetics and storytelling, we found ourselves more fulfilled by capturing love stories all around the world! Being connected with people is our prime source of inspiration – we found out we cannot live without relationships as they really mean the world to us. That is why we feel so grateful being able to work in this field!

We try to keep our equipment as simple and light as possible (in our Vinta bags – they’re so cute and comfy!) so that we can easily walk and hike around with our couples!

We use a pair of Canon 5D Mark III each. What we like the most about this camera is the range of colors, which we think is unbeatable, especially when it comes to skin tones!

Canon 85mm f/1.2

We shoot with mostly prime lenses: Canon 35mm f/1.4, Canon 50mm f/1.2, and 2 Canon 85mm f/1.2.

The 50mm is our go-to lens, as it’s amazing how you can create intimate yet dramatic shots. The crazy beauty of it relies in how you can separate your subject from the rest. Not to forget its unique bokeh.

The 35mm is THE lens. It allows us to capture so many different situations. With an incredible wide angle, it can do almost everything. We LOVE this lens and it was one of the first ones we ever bought. Its incredible fast focus makes it an absolute must have.

We have two of the 85mm because we both use them because we really like them! Not only is it amazing for portraiture, this is also a really versatile prime lens that delivers superb image quality, even when shooting handheld in very low lighting conditions. Fast and precise focus as well as its color purity makes the 85mm a wonderful lens.
