Tsvetelina Deliyska
Wedding | Last Updated: February 12, 2021

Hello there, photography lovers! My name is Tsvetelina Deliyska, a wedding photographer from Bulgaria.
I’ve been into photography for more than 17 years. It’s what I studied, my hobby, my job, and my passion.
I started as a wedding photographer maybe because I love people’s emotions. And I really like to tell stories, so that’s why I prefer the journalism approach in my style along with a touch of creative art and portrait photography.
Throughout my professional career as a photographer, I have trusted myself with one brand and that is Nikon! I have owned a lot of their models since the time of film photography.
Cameras
At this time, I shoot with two bodies – Nikon D850, as the main one, and Nikon D750, as the second.
They are very reliable for my needs – fast and correct autofocus, high ISO, easy to use interface, and the moveable displays are very useful when I want to make a shot with a different angle.
Besides my cameras I use the following…
Lenses
AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4 – A fast, normal lens which I mostly use during the preparation of the bride or at the church. It has a nice bokeh and it’s really lightweight.
AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8 – This is one of my favourite lenses. Although it’s a little bit heavy, it’s perfect for portraits and details. I use it very often because of its beautiful colors, sharpness, and absolutely accurate focus – I can tell that I don’t have wastage with it.
AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8 – One of the best lenses invented by Nikon ever! It’s fast and sharp and it’s my true buddy for the dance floor. If you’re not in the action you’re out!
AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.4 – When I want a lighter version of my Nikkor 70-200, I use this lens. Besides the nice colors, it has one very important advantage; it has a metal hood. This hood has kept my lens from serious damage a few times so far!
Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art – The must-have length for every photographer. This lens is perfect for many situations – I’ve shot portraits, reportage, street, details with it. The contrast, the colors, the sharpness it gives me – all are great!
Lights/Triggers
Light is a very important part of my work, and, although I prefer to work with natural light, I love to combine it with artificial.
I use some Nikon flashes (SB600, SB900, SB910), always off-camera, because I have an assistant with me at most of my weddings.
I use different lightning schemes during the reception, or the dance floor. I control them with my Pixel King Pro Transceiver and I use a King X Trigger for every flash. Through the years, I have tested a lot of transmitters and found that Pixels are most reliable.
But, when I need only one light, I prefer my Profoto A1 – Its round head, magnetic fasteners accessories, extremely easy to use interface, and fast recharging time makes it perfect for many difficult situations.
Bags/Straps
I keep all my stuff in one bag. The Tenba Roadie 21 Hybrid Roller – it fits a lot of my equipment – 2 bodies, all the lenses, flashes, there is a place for a laptop, tripod, and it also has a lot of pockets for small accessories.
Because I shoot with two bodies at the same time, I use a leather double strap WEFF (it’s made in Bulgaria). It has a stylish design and it’s made of durable leather, and the fasteners are extremely secure.
The baby has been the most important part of my gear for 3 years now. He was in my belly for 7 months while I was actively shooting. I hope he takes the baton one day!
Thanks for reading me till the end!
