Hi, I am Zeynep Dogan. I am an architecture, travel, stage and performance photographer based in Istanbul.
My passion for nature, all living creatures, colors and also emotions drove me to photography. In my photographs, I always try to capture the reflection of spontaneity and creativity combined with the emotions of that special moment.
I love traveling a lot. If I have the opportunity, I always try to travel and take a lot of photos which I post on my Instagram account (see guide here). With these travel photos, I gain many followers.
The growth of my Instagram account has given me the opportunity to collaborate with some famous hotel chains from Singapore to Italy. I have collaborated with Four Seasons Dubai, The Ritz Carlton Dubai, The St. Regis Singapore, W Singapore, Kempinski Seychelles, Regency Florence, Lord Byron Rome, and more.
I am a Nikon user and below is my gear:
Nikon D850 – My first camera was Nikon D300, then I had Nikon D700, 800, 810 and finally 850.
I like the colors of Nikon because they’re not exaggerated, so it’s a good choice for photographers like me who prefer natural colors. It’s also ergonomically good for me. As a result, my lenses are Nikon as well.
In terms of optics, I prefer sharpness and speed – that’s why I preference f/2.8 lenses in my gear.
Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 – A must-have lens for architecture and landscape.
Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 – Good for every use.
Nikon 70-200mm VRII f/2.8 – My essential lens for stage & performance and portrait shootings. It’s essential for me because of its speed and razor sharpness.
DJI Mavic Pro – I chose the DJI Mavic Pro as my drone since my priority was lightness and compactness. The photography quality is satisfying and handling the drone is a piece of cake.
Lee Filter System – Best set of filters I have ever used.
