Hello! I am Jane Lee and I am a wedding photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It’s SUMMER all year over here if you were wondering.
Here’s a list of the gear I use:
Canon 5D Mark IV – Well my first camera was only a Canon 550D
when I shot my first wedding a few years ago and I have been upgrading ever since until I finally owned this one right here. I used to have a Fujifilm X-Pro 2
as a second body, but I didn’t like it so I sold it and bought an extra lens.
Canon 50mm f/1.2L – Okay, this has to be my favorite lens because back in the day I used the 50mm non-L version lens and shot weddings with that lens alone. I was blown away by the result and bought this 1.2 L version and now I use this lens for close-up portraits.
Canon 35mm f/1.4L – I bought this lens last year, and I’ve been using this baby right here most of the time, like 80%. This lens is perfect!
Canon 24mm f/1.4 L – This one is kept in the bag most of the time, as I rarely use it unless I need some wide scenery shots. The distortion is annoying. I’m actually planning to sell it.
Canon 85mm f/1.8 – Only use this during ceremonies. I’m saving up to get the L version soon.
Canon 50mm f/2.5 – I generally use this one for close-up macro and details shots only.
Canon 600EX-RT – I use this flash only when it’s really dark at the reception. I often avoid using flash as I’m a big fan of natural lighting.
Polaroid 250 Land Camera – I bought this one cuz it looks cool to own one, so I had to have it. The film is so expensive so every shot with it is really precious.
Contax 645 + Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm f/2.0 – Just bought this bad boy recently and I love the bokeh, the quality of film, and everything about it. It’s really heavy but I don’t care. I love it!
Leica M6 TTL + Leitz Wetzlar Summaron-M 35mm f/2.8 – This is my favorite travel camera when I want to shoot with film. I got this last year and fell in love with it ever since. It has an amazing rangefinder view. Ever since I started shooting with film, it made me treasure every shot even more.
HoldFast Money Maker Strap – Best harness I’ve invested in so far. It helps so much, and it looks badass too.
Midori Travelers Notebook – I bring my journal with me wherever I go.
