Delivery is one of the big challenges for event and wedding photographers. By the time an event is over, you may have hundreds or even thousands of pictures that need to be edited correctly, sorted into folders and categories, and shared with guests and clients.
Understandably, guests often don’t want to wait for weeks on end to finally see the photos of the events they attended, which piles even more pressure on the photographer to work quickly.
But what if there was a way your guests could see their photos almost instantly, while the event is still happening?
That’s where live AI delivery apps come into play. I’ve used some of these apps at recent weddings and conferences I’ve worked on, and they’ve not only made my life a lot easier, but also given my clients much more satisfying experiences, too.
With that in mind, this guide will look at five of my favorite live AI delivery apps for event and wedding photographers to consider.
What Are Live AI Delivery Apps?
Let’s begin with the basics, as live AI delivery apps are still quite a new concept, and many people aren’t yet familiar with them. That’s likely to change in the coming years, however, as these apps are likely to become the standard as far as wedding and event photography goes.
To keep it brief, live AI delivery apps allow photographers to upload photos as they’re captured, while an event is ongoing.
The app uses AI to scan and apply customizable preset edits to those pictures, before sorting them into galleries and making them available for attendees to view.
Guests can then scan QR codes (which can be placed on boards or tables around the venue) on their own devices to see the images.
By using AI-powered face recognition technology, live delivery apps even allow guests to instantly view the photos in which they appear, rather than having to sort through them.
The Benefits of Using Live AI Delivery for Event and Wedding Photographers
If you’re already experienced in event photography, it should be easy to imagine the many benefits that live delivery apps provide.
They’re not just a helpful convenience; they can completely change the way you work, saving you hours and making it much easier to satisfy your clients.
- Real-Time Delivery: Guests often feel frustrated when they want to see event photos as quickly as possible, but are told they have to wait. With live AI delivery apps, you can provide near-instant access to images to your clients, on-demand.
- Automated Sorting: Most of these apps have powerful AI face recognition and automated sorting features. The AI can scan each image, detect the identities of the subjects, and sort photos accordingly, saving you, the photographer, hours of hard work.
- More Satisfied Clients: Since this technology is still quite new, clients are often impressed to see how it works and easily wowed by the ability to view their photos in real-time. Embracing live delivery apps is, therefore, a great way to improve client satisfaction and get positive feedback.
- Ease of Use: Live AI delivery apps may sound complicated at first, but they’re surprisingly easy to work with, for all involved. The apps link to your camera or phone to quickly transfer images, and guests only need to scan a QR code to get involved.
- Revenue Potential: Some photographers also find that live delivery apps can prove a super source of additional revenue; guests are often more likely to order prints and premium downloads during the event, while their excitement is at its highest point.
- Marketing/Referral Potential: You may also find that live AI delivery apps make it easier to market your brand and gain new clients. In most apps, you can brand your galleries so that when guests share them on social media, other people see your watermark.
- Less Hassle: I know from experience that event photographers often get bombarded with requests and demands in the days following an event as people ask to see their pictures. With live delivery, there’s much less chance of that happening.
- Simpler Editing: Most AI apps can apply preset changes to your photos as you upload them. You’ll most likely still need to do some deeper editing yourself, after the event is over, but this feature should still save you a significant amount of time.
- Standing Out: Finally, it’s worth noting that event photography is an increasingly crowded, competitive space. One of the best ways you can stand out is by using useful technological tools, like AI delivery, to give prospective clients a reason to choose you over your competitors.
The 5 Best Live AI Delivery Apps
Now you know what live AI delivery is all about and the numerous advantages it provides; let’s move on to explore some of the best apps you can use at your next event.
Honcho

Honcho is one of the best-rated live AI delivery apps available today, trusted and praised by an increasing number of wedding and event photographers for its intuitive design and great range of helpful features.
It offers camera-to-cloud uploads. Depending on your camera, you can tether it to your smartphone or connect via Wi-Fi for automatic uploads to Honcho’s secure servers as you take them.
Once your images are on the Honcho system, guests can scan QR codes or submit selfies to see the specific images they appear in. This app has some of the best AI face recognition technology around, so it usually delivers an excellent guest experience.
Some of Honcho’s standout features include the option to generate and display live slideshows of your best pictures, as well as the integrated online store, which photographers can use to sell digital downloads as the event is ongoing.
Honcho also works well for small teams; it offers collaborative features which allow multiple photographers and editors to work on photos from the same event at the same time, all via the same dashboard.
The only real downside with this app is that it does come with a learning curve: there are a large number of features here, so you may need some time to figure out how they all work and how to make the most of them.
Pricing: Monthly and annual plans starting from $34 per month. Free trial available.
Kululu

Kululu is a little different from other live AI delivery apps, as it’s more oriented towards event guests, rather than professional photographers. However, even if you are an event photographer, this app can still make your life easier in several ways.
Here’s how it works: with Kululu, event guests can scan QR codes or open custom links to access a shared photo and video storage space.
As they take their own photos during the event, they can upload them directly to that shared environment.
In the meantime, professional photographers can go about their usual business, capturing more high-quality shots with their superior equipment. Guests will still be satisfied, as they can log into Kululu any time to see their snaps, so they will be less likely to bother you with requests and demands.
Simplicity is the big selling point with Kululu. It’s quick and easy to set up, and even brand new users should feel at home with the app’s neat interface, which generally helps with engagement.
The downside for professional photographers is that, as stated, this app is geared more towards guests than pros. It doesn’t offer the kind of advanced AI workflows you’d find in other live delivery apps, so it feels like more of a helpful bonus tool to consider rather than a must-have.
Pricing: One-time fees starting from $39. Free plan available for small events.
Accio Pix

Accio Pix is an AI-powered event photo-sharing app that was built around one of the world’s favorite instant messaging apps: WhatsApp. Put simply, it allows guests to receive their personal photos via WhatsApp chats, which can dramatically improve their event experiences.
The way it works is simple: photographers upload their event photos and share a link with all event attendees.
Guests click the link and submit a selfie, and the Accio Pix system uses facial recognition to identify them and send them another link, via WhatsApp, to download all of their images.
The big advantage here is that guests don’t need to download any additional apps or sign up to any services to take part; they can continue enjoying the event and having a great time, while being able to receive their photos in a matter of seconds.
Accio Pix also stands out for its security: it uses a technique called homomorphic encryption to ensure that all users’ selfies and biometric data are completely secure, with almost zero risk of exposure.
It also works for even the largest events, supporting galleries of up to 20,000 images, making it ideal for those large or multi-day events, like business conferences. On the downside, however, it is lacking in terms of editing and e-commerce features.
Pricing: One-off payments starting from $5. Free for the first 100 photos.
Waldo

Waldo is one of the best live AI delivery apps for photographers who want to increase and diversify their revenue streams, since it comes with a lot of e-commerce features, like the ability to set up your own online payment pages for digital downloads and prints.
It’s also proven to be one of the most efficient and reliable AI-powered photo sharing apps. As with other apps featured on this list, photographers simply have to upload their images, then guests share a selfie to find the photos they appear in.
Waldo’s developers claim their facial recognition technology is some of the best, and it’s worked exceptionally well in my personal experience.
It also boasts numbered jersey recognition technology, which can be helpful if you’re taking pictures of sporting events, like high school football games.
As far as security is concerned, Waldo uses its own patented Faceblocker technology, which works by obscuring parts of the photo until the user has confirmed their identity. This helps to provide peace of mind while protecting against theft or fraud.
You won’t find live editing collaboration features in Waldo, and it may not work quite as well for the biggest events with thousands of photos. But for weddings, school photography, and small-scale events, it’s a great choice.
Pricing: Pricing based on usage (consumer vs. professional). For professional photographers, usage is a commission-based system; you pay the platform 10% of any pictures you sell.
Eventiere

Eventiere is one of the most advanced, fully-featured live AI delivery apps, designed with the express intent of making life easier for professional event photographers.
With this app, images are uploaded to secure servers in real-time, during the event. Guests can then scan a QR code, submit a selfie, and receive the images they want either via WhatsApp or email, once the platform has verified them via facial recognition.
You’ll find features like white-label branding, detailed reports and analytics pages, and custom domains in Eventiere. It’s also fully compliant with strict data regulations, like GDPR, making it one of the safest apps of this kind to use.
The branding features are particularly appealing for professionals looking to gain more clients or spread the word about their business; you can add custom logos and colors to your pictures, for example, or share links to your socials in every delivery.
Since this platform is business-oriented, it may feel a little more complex than others, which might put off total beginners. But if you take the time to learn what this app can do, it has the potential to accelerate your career.
Pricing: Custom pricing. Contact the company to find out more.
How to Choose a Live AI Delivery App
I’ve personally tested and approved the five apps listed above, but there are dozens more options available, with more popping up all the time. If you’re new to the world of live AI delivery, choosing which app to use can feel like quite a challenge.
Here are some tips to help and factors you can focus on to make the right choice:
- Consider Your Specific Needs: Ask yourself what you want from your live delivery app. Are you mainly focused on making your life easier with instant cloud uploads and editing, or do you want to prioritize the guest experience? Once you know this, it should be easier to find an app to match.
- Ease of Setup and Use: Event photographers are busy professionals and often appreciate tools that can save them time. If that sounds like you, prioritize a live delivery app that is reputed for being easy to set up, and look for features like WhatsApp delivery to make the platform easier to use for your guests.
- Security and Privacy: If you’re taking photographs of a business conference or other event where security is of the utmost importance, you’ll need to ensure that any app you choose is secure. The best apps offer encryption to secure data at rest and in transit, as well as features like private galleries and access controls.
- Pricing: Different apps come with different price tags, and you don’t necessarily need to pay for the most expensive one to get the best experience. Some will offer one-time per-event payments, while others offer monthly subscriptions; it’s important to consider your exact needs, as well as your budget, to find the right option.

Upgrade Your Event Photography With Live AI Delivery
Having photographed countless events in the past, from weddings to brand launches, I’ve experienced many of the challenges of event photography firsthand. I’ve had to spend hours in the editing room, trying to meet my clients’ deadlines, while responding to multiple guests’ requests for specific images.
I know how tiring it can be, which is why I’m so enthusiastic about live AI delivery technology. Apps like Honcho, Eventiere, and Accio Pix are genuine game-changers in this sector, elevating the entire experience of event photography for both the photographer themselves and the event attendees.
At the same time, it’s important to note that not all AI live delivery apps are worth your time or money. Some are tricky to set up, lack key features you might need, or have quite high prices, which is why it’s so important to review your options and choose the app that’s best for you.
