Ulanzi’s New Heavy Duty Video Tripod Delivers Powerful Performance

With the Ulanzi Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod, the Ulanzi brand has invested serious research and development into a tripod squarely aimed at video creators with serious camera platform needs.
Not only does the Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod deliver wonderfully sturdy performance, it’s also lightweight and smoothly, rapidly responsive to adjustments during shooting.
Ulanzi has designed the Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod to also be very easy to set up, easy to carry around in the field and capable of holding up some truly heavy loads.
To achieve all of these different aims, the Ulanzi Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod has been built by its maker with several features for streamlined usability.
One of the first that you might notice when unpacking the tripod for use is its one-click lift feature, which lets the Video Fast Heavy-Duty model be set up in just seconds with a very stable base even on rugged surfaces.
To help keep the Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod firmly upright, twin-spiked rubber feet have been designed for this model to give it a firm grip on most surfaces and a spreader at the mid-point of the Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod’s height delivers further stability.
Ulanzi has also given the Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod several other features for stable, firm performance. One of these is a dynamic rebound function that lets the tripod rapidly and automatically return to a horizontal level if needed.
The tripod also comes with six stops of incremental pan and tilt adjustments and a further 10 stops of counterbalancing adjustment along with constant tilt action.

The head of the Video Fast Heavy-Duty features a hydraulic design with a 75mm bowl mount for precise use. It also comes with a Manfrotto plate that includes a quick-release design.

Despite its heavy-duty video-oriented design, Ulanzi has built the Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod to be as light as possible for easy handling and transport.
It comes built in two versions. One of these is a slightly more affordable aluminum model that weighs no more than 3.1kg or 6.9 lbs for just the tripod body, and 5.3kg or 11.70 lbs with its head attached.
Then there is the carbon fiber version at a modestly higher price. This edition of the Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod weighs only 2.7kg or 6 lbs without the head and 4.8kg or 10.8 lbs with the head attached.
Aside from their different construction material and different weight profiles, the two versions are essentially identical.
The Video Fast Heavy-Duty Tripod from Ulanzi can be extended to a maximum height of 5.2 feet or 1.6 meters and compacted down to as low as 2.6 feet or 0.78 meters during use. When packed down for storage, however, the tripod is just 0.84 meters or 2.7 feet long.
