Taking a picture of a winter sunset from the California coast, 2020.

Hi, I'm Teryani. I got my start in photography back in the early 2000s with a little Olympus point-and-shoot. After that, I loved on to an Olympus micro 4/3s, a Nikon DSLR, and then finally a Sony a7III (which I still absolutely love - even after all these years).

As far as photography genres are concerned, I do a little bit of everything. Though I started with landscape, documentary, and travel photography, I know do a fair amount of portraiture and themed shoots. My favorite so far was being hired to create the illustrations for a coming-of-age book for young girls set during the French revolution. I also really enjoy walking around town with my models and finding serendipitous opportunities for great shots.

When I'm not behind a camera, you can find me in the garden, hiking in the back-country (usually with a full kit), and/or traveling. I've hitchhiked through more than 30 countries and love documenting that kind of travel!
