What are Spaces?
Public spaces, better known as Spaces, provide an easy way to share your work with anyone you want.
They allow you to make a curated selection of images and showcase it to the world or to a single client – your choice.
You don’t need to know anything about coding, pay for hosting or domains, or any of the other obstacles that you might encounter when trying to share your work online.
Instead, you can easily create a beautifully designed gallery from inside Luminar Neo. You can create as many as you want… at least, for now. So, don’t miss out!
How to Use Spaces in Luminar Neo
Spaces offers a very user-friendly way to create web galleries. As such, there’s no need for a step-by-step guide.
However, I think some pointers can help, so you’ll know where to find everything and what your customization options are.
Create and publish a Space

Launch Neo on your computer and make sure you’re in the Catalog section.
Here, select all the images you want to include by clicking on them while you hold the Command key.
You can also hold down the Shift key and click on the first and last images to select everything in between.
Once you have your selection, right-click any selected photo to open a menu. Here, choose Publish to Space.
The menu’s first option will always be New Space. However, once you’ve created multiple spaces, you’ll also be given the option to add this new selection to one of them.
When you click New Space, a new window will pop up. Here, you can name your gallery and arrange the order of the photos. You can rearrange them simply by clicking and dragging.
You can also remove photos if you added them by mistake. To do this, hover over the image, and you’ll see a cross appear in the top left corner – click on it.
Whenever you’re satisfied, simply click Publish.
Change the settings of a Space

There you have it: a beautifully designed online gallery.
You can’t change the colors or layout – the design is fixed. However, you can see the entire collection as a grid, or click on an image to see it full-screen and scroll through them one by one.
On the bottom right corner, you’ll find the Edit options. Here, you can add more photos or replace one from the gallery, enable or disable downloading of photos, and turn metadata on or off.
Share a Space

You can share a Space the moment you create it. Currently, you can share to Facebook or X (Twitter), or copy the link.
You can also share it later. To do so, click the Space in the left-hand panel of the Catalog in Neo. This will open the pop-up window where you can choose to Share it or Open it.
If you choose Share, you can choose from the same options as before. However, if you need to make some adjustments, click on Open it. You can always copy the link from the Edit button in the bottom-right corner of the web gallery.
Delete a Space

To delete a Space, simply right-click it in the left-hand panel of the Neo Catalog. Alternatively, open the Space in your browser and click Edit in the bottom-right corner.
Here, click the Settings icon, then select the Delete Gallery option.
Who is Spaces for?
Anyone with the latest version of Luminar Neo can use Spaces. So far, Skylum hasn’t set a limit on how many Spaces a user can have.
Whether you’re a photography lover who wants to share your photos with family and friends, or a professional photographer looking for a way to showcase your work online, Spaces is for you.
This feature doesn’t require any technical skills and allows you to generate simple, visually appealing web galleries, control who can access them and whether they can download images, and adjust metadata display.
How Can Photographers Benefit From Spaces?

Credit: George Milton
Photographers can use Spaces to get client feedback, send carefully curated portfolios to land a gig, and highlight their best work while building a professional-looking online presence.
Not having to worry about hosting or coding, photographers can dedicate more time to photographing and editing their work. The best thing is, they don’t have to do anything extra.
Here are a few real use cases to get you inspired:
Online Portfolio – If you don’t have a website, you can share a link to your Space on any of your social networks so people can see your best work. You can even curate a portfolio dedicated to a specific client you’re trying to sign, showcasing your work that best suits their needs.
Client galleries – Create custom albums for your clients to view the session and select the prints they want, or to give you feedback on the photoshoot.
Albums for friends and family – Do you enjoy being the ‘official’ photographer at parties or family gatherings? You can use Spaces to share your photos with everyone and curate by event or even customize for each guest.
3 Tips To Get the Most Out of Spaces
Do a well-curated selection. A Space is not a cloud storage service, so you don’t want to add all your photos to it. Find the best ones that form a coherent collection.
Use Neo’s photo management tools. To help you curate a selection, you can use Neo’s Smart Search tool. Of course, you can also use the rating tools and color codes to sort and organize your photos.
Create multiple Spaces. At this time, Skylum hasn’t set a limit on how many Spaces you can have. So, use this to your advantage and create one Space for each project. This will keep your galleries clean and coherent so you can better showcase your work.
Plans and Pricing
There are no extra fees to create a Space. As long as you have the latest version of Luminar Neo, you’ll have access to this feature.
If you’re a new client, you can purchase a Desktop license, a Cross-device license, or a Max license. All of them grant you lifetime use of Luminar Neo and include Spaces.
However, the best value for money is the Max license as it also includes Luminar Mobile, cross-device editing, and access to the creative library.
If you already own Neo, you’ll need to purchase the Ecosystem pass, a one-time payment that grants you access to Spaces, cross-device editing, the latest updates, and Luminar mobile forever. Plus, it will grant access to the generative AI tools until December 31st, 2026.

At this time, Skylum hasn’t set a limit to how many spaces each user gets. This may change in the future, though.
